Clear Path for Veterans, Inc. (CPV or Clear Path) is a community-based organization delivering world-class, holistic programs and services to veterans and their families without condition. The SSG Fox SPGP Navigation Coordinator is responsible for conducting outreach to identify, assess, and engage veterans at risk for suicide, completing comprehensive intakes and assessments to determine suicide risk and program eligibility, and connecting eligible veterans to SSG Fox SPGP Peer Mentors for ongoing peer support services. In addition, this role serves as a key point of entry for the wider organization, initially engaging clients, completing basic intakes, determining appropriate programs and services, and connecting clients to the relevant staff and external partners for programmatic or service-related assistance. The incumbent of this position may be required to consult with therapists, psychologists, and other health care professionals regarding veterans participating in the SSG Fox SPGP.
Peer Specialist—To be eligible to be appointed to a peer specialist position, a person must—
(A) be a veteran who has recovered or is recovering from a mental health condition; and
(B) be certified by—
(i) a not-for-profit entity engaged in peer specialist training as having met such criteria as the
Secretary shall establish for a peer specialist position; or
(ii) a State as having satisfied relevant State requirements for a peer specialist position.
Must be able to lift a maximum of thirty-five (35) pounds. Ability to drive and travel in all types of weather conditions. May sit or stand for long periods of time. Manual dexterity sufficient for constant use of computer keyboards and other office equipment. Vision sufficient for frequent use of a computer monitor, developing and reading paperwork.
