Metal Fabricator

Title: Metal Fabricator

Location: Syracuse

Pay: $21-25/hour

Role Responsibilities

• Work from prints/sketches/templates where quantities, types of material, dimensions etc are specified
• Plan, layout, and scribe straight and radius lines, center lines for holes, locations of notches etc
• Set-up and operate rolls, brakes, punching and notching machines, drill presses, CNC turret punches etc
• Remove, re-set and align forming and punching dies
• Operate overhead crane, towmotor and other material handling equipment
• Keep work area in neat and orderly condition 
• Wipe down and maintain clean appearance of equipment in fabricating area
• Meeting quality and quantity production standards

Preferred Candidate Experience/Background

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 months of related experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple written instruction
• Basic algebra and geometry skills
• Supervisory skills & reasoning ability
