Job Title: Production Control Coordinator
Reports To: General Manager/Production Control Manager of Operations
Dept: Production Control

Pay Rate & Hours$20.00+/hr (starting wage based on experience,) 7 am-3:30 pm M-Fri 1st shift.

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the Production Control Manager and General Manager with planning and monitoring daily schedules, and handle day to day administrative tasks. This incumbent acts as liaison between production control and outside vendors, ensuring that all production orders have job traveler paperwork and any additional documentation required. Responsible for issuing and staging raw material to all job travelers. Also, the incumbent ensures that raw materials and components are stored in appropriate locations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receiving material from vendors and generating necessary paperwork accurately
  • Assist shipping department including preparing finished product for shipment and product for outside services
  • Conduct inventory management of raw materials and components
  • Help coordinate daily shipping priorities
  • Distribute manufacturer instructions for shop supervisors (Traveler Quality Plans)
  • Generate daily ship sheet by analyzing schedule, vendor commitments, material staging
  • Distribute daily ship sheet to all appropriate parties
  • Coordinate delivery from outside vendors to meet ship dates
  • Track and expedite outside operations
  • Maintain status of outside vendors via spreadsheet report on engineering shared
  • Issue travelers, cart materials and copy work instructions
  • Stage material for machining work centers
  • Issue specific parts such as but not limited to casting against jobs
  • Count out raw stock and note certification number of travelers
  • Ensure the accuracy of finished loads and machine raw inventory location(s)
  • Ensure movement of overrun materials in and out of both locations
  • Denote scrap, finished goods, or work in progress based on engineering change notices from the program managers
  • Assist in the year-end inventory of finished goods, raw stock castings, plate stock, and componentry for machining
  • Attend job launches as needed
  • Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system
  • Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping
  • Maintains regular on time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
  • Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested)
  • Other tasks as directed

Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
A.S. in business or a related field preferred.
5(+) years of production planning, shop floor documentation, and scheduling experience highly preferred.
Manufacturing experience a plus.
Subcontract management experience.
