SHIFT: 2nd 

Compensation Range: $45k-60k/yr

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Labels Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations to achieve targeted performance and customer satisfaction. The Labels Supervisor has direct responsibility for leading and engaging coworkers in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is a key driver of our culture of continuously improving our organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. 
  • Actively lead in EHS, training, safety observations, hazard identification, and safety committees. 
  • Foster, develop, and implement an environment of Continuous Improvement (CI) through all facets of production
  • Ensure a proactive approach to product quality, GMP’s, and quality of workmanship. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized 6S program for production areas
  • Lead daily production activities by monitoring performance against targets and provide support in attaining and exceeding levels of expected performance
  • Lead shift huddles, Gemba walks, and production meetings
  • Support development of Standard Work including One Point Lessons, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Training Documents. 
  • Support timely and accurate inventory movement, issuance, verification, returns, receipts, shipments for raw materials and finished goods
  • Provide production related data to show output, trends, and actions. 
  • Ensure the production team has the necessary tools and training to successfully and efficiently meet their goals
  • Facilitate and support training, cross-training, and coworker development
  • Provide direction and guidance to the production team through coaching and counseling; engage, motivate, empower, develop and recognize individual and team achievements
  • Organize workflow by assigning production teams their daily shift assignment and responsibilities
  • Ensure an environment that promotes effective communications, positive coworker collaboration, and teamwork
  • Ensure processes are operating effectively and efficiently in order to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Support maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment
  • Effectively and proactively interface with other departments including Finance, Prepress, Maintenance Planning, Quality, IT, HR, R&D, and other leadership team members. 

  

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or related CI experience preferred
  • Printing experience preferred

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related experience 
  • Prior leadership responsibilities in a manufacturing environment
