Maintenance Technician

As we settle into our brand-new building, we are growing our team to add capacity and meet the increased volume of customer orders.

Position Summary

Listed work hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs of all equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors and maintains company equipment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems).
    • Reviews manufacturers' service manuals, own establishment's usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for each machine.
    • Maintains all records relating to planned and completed maintenance.
    • Works with production managers to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with production
    • Cleans machine, tooling and parts and performs machine maintenance as required
    • Able to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Assists in training and informing employees of Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Monitors and records inventory used (tooling, supplies and raw materials) and notifies appropriate personnel.
  • Responsible for housekeeping and safety practices as it applies to this work environment.
  • Qualifies measuring tools on a daily basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Candidates with 10+ years experience and a leadership background encouraged to apply.

Job Competencies:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and training documents.
  • Technical and Mechanical abilities
  • Knowledge of equipment using Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) for each type of machines

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 6-10 years of maintenance experience
  • Associate degree or two year certificate with 3-5 years maintenance experience or training preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
