Project Manager - Engineering

Position Title: Project Manager-Engineering

Location: Syracuse

Pay Range: $75k - $130k/yr

Position Description

The Project Manager will lead the production design team and manage day to day project tasking on various types of renovation and new construction projects for commercial, residential and institutional building types within health care, technology, utilities, education, multi-tenant residential, institutional, and commercial markets.   

Essential Functions: 

• Be the primary interface and conduit responsible for the flow of information with and between clients and project team members, both internal and external. 
• Understand and/or establish project scopes/fees and write proposals for review and approval by the President.   
• Responsible for meeting assigned project schedules and budgets. 
• Making sure the project team is strategizing and offering the clients options and getting client approvals before moving full steam ahead with designs or changes to designs. 
• Provides direction, leadership and development for assigned teams 
• Participates in or leads project meetings and design reviews, and tracks progress of day-to-day commitments 
• Assure project compliance with good engineering practices, regulations and codes 
• QA/QC of projects, either self-performed or delegated to a capable person 
• Assist production team members with prioritizing work. 
• Performs periodic inspections of job-site conditions and project progress 
• Mentors and provide guidance to team members 
• Monitors team members’ work activities to ensure effective completion of projects and assignments 
• Provides and fosters a respectful and collaborative environment for team members 
• Works with VP of Operations to prepare professional development plans for staff

Position Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or related from an accredited college or university.  
• At least 5 years of consulting engineering and project management experience.   
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office.
