Territory Supervisor

Job Title: Site Supervisor (Territory)

Job Summary: 

Oversee and assist in the cleaning and maintenance of work areas and restrooms of the client’s facilities by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and performing related job duties. Site Supervisor supervises 1-6 Janitors, which includes assigning work and ensuring there is adequate labor coverage for all shifts. Report to client on a daily basis to obtain work orders and special requests. Responsibilities also include making hiring recommendations; planning, scheduling, and assigning work; instructing and training staff; checking and approving work; conducting informal performance appraisals; recommending salary adjustments; and making recommendations regarding unsatisfactory employees.

Duties: 

• Act as a liaison between R & R Janitorial Service and the client. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Provide excellent supervision, guidance, and leadership to staff. Resolve problems fairly and effectively.
• Maintain equipment in excellent and safe working order. Notify Operations Manager or office when equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.
• Prevent/eliminate any hazards at the job site (e.g., slippery floors, equipment left out after use).
• Keep job site locked and secure while working and deny access to anyone without proper identification.
• Lock all doors, arm the security system, and turn off all lights upon leaving the job site.
• Maintain janitor’s closet in a neat and orderly condition.
• Notify Operations Manager or office of any irregularities, adverse situations, and all workplace injury/illness.

Phyiscal Requirements: 

Ability to operate a vacuum cleaner, dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, and floor machine. 
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Qualifications: 

 Six months to one year related janitorial experience preferred but not required.
 Six months to one year previous supervisory experience.
 Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
 Ability to write simple correspondence.
 Moderate mental and visual attention required.
 Ability to work nights and weekends.
 Ability to work additional hours occasionally to assist with special projects or to cover for coworkers who are sick or on vacation.
 Reliable transportation for travel from job site to job site may be required for some positions.

Pay Rate:  $50k-58k/yrly, dependent on experience.
