Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Position Summary

The Regulatory Compliance Analyst works within the quality team to ensure the overall compliance of Cryomech processes and products to customer, ISO, and governmental standards. The role reports to the Quality Systems Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Update RoHS and REACH file folders on computer drive
  • Review Bill of Materials for REACH
  • Update the Declaration of Conformity and Technical files as needed for Engineering team.
  • Edit and review component specification sheets
  • Review and update databases with the appropriate information
  • Remain current with compliance updates and changing regulations.
  • Work with databases, in-house systems, and ERP (Global Shop Systems)
  • Review Engineering Change Notices - update RoHS technical files, update specification sheets with new RoHS and REACH information, etc.
  • Participate in weekly quality meetings, report compliance status and issues
  • Utilize a Continual Improvement approach to product conformance and quality
  • Participate in process improvement efforts
  • Communicate regularly with Chief Business Officer.
  • Identify operational impacts associated with emerging regulations.
  • Oversee periodic internal compliance reviews to assess internal ability to meet regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist in the development of key compliance indicators related to key compliance requirements.
  • Help identify areas of risk that require the establishment or enhancement of internal controls, policies and procedures, products and/or services, and training associated with any compliance obligations.
  • Assist in the review and communication of new and changing regulations.
  • Provide compliance assistance to the Sales and Business Development teams as needed.
  • Gather data and submit reports and responses to agencies or other entities as required.
  • Monitor and summarize any State, Federal and International law, bills, regulations and standards and report on anticipated impact to Cryomech products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; three years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, QA Technician, or related experience is required. Experience with RoHS and REACH Compliance. Hands on experience with electronic documentation and document control processes. Experience with ERP systems for regulatory compliance is preferred, but not required.
