Operates the specific vehicles used for the project work in their field of specialty (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with safety guidelines linked to the job activities, including the wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Transport and dump concrete to external customer(s)
  • Ensure slump of concrete is up to specifications requested of customer(s)
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
  • Push or pull levers to turn mixer drum and dump contents
  • Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward and backward to aid in the placement of concrete
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies in accordance with CDL pre-trip guidelines
  • Maintain vehicles by carrying out standard upkeep (oil and lubricate equipment, in addition or other minor repairs) in observance of company and federal guidelines and regulations 

Qualifications

  • Ability to do basic math
  • Must hold a CDL B or higher

Physical Requirements

  • Physical strength must be enough to climb in and out of a truck throughout the workday
  • Vision must be acceptable for day and night driving
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs
